Nasim + Bobby Adventurous Engagement Photoshoot in Bali

After a few times making changes on photoshoot schedule, finally Nasim decided to do the engagement photo session in the morning, and I was totally certain that they wouldn't regret this decision because morning photo session would all be worth it.
By the dawn, my team and I picked them up at the place they were staying while in Bali, at Double Six Luxury Hotel. It was exactly as I scheduled, we got to see the beautiful sunrise on Batur, strolling down the interesting spots around Kintamani area. It all went fast, it was so easy to capture Nasim and Bobby. It didn't take too much time for me to direct them, easy peasy.

It was little bit freezing in Kintamani, we went down the narrow roads with potholes here and there headed to Batur volcano area. It was like in a different world, middle of nowhere until we made it to the last location, Tibumana Waterfall, that was surrounded by beautiful green villages, surrounding coconut trees and rice fields. I think it was one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Bangli region.

A few days after Nasim and Bobby saw their engagement photo results, they rewarded me with the best and longest review and testimony I'd ever received. They were so kind! Thank you Nasim and Bobby, I really appreciate it and feel so flattered by your testimony! And here are their pre-wedding photos, enjoy!

Kisah ini seperti pagi
Awal yang suci membangun bahtera duniawi
Terbit di kaki langit dan berakhir membumi
Mengantarkan puja-puji dan nyala api, sebuah kidung surgawi

Sandy + Fadli Prewedding | Cappadocia Turkey Engagement Photography

As a photographer who loves all gender of photography, it is very easy for me to love Istanbul. The stunning landscape, unique culture, adorned and beautiful architectures are in every corner of the city. In this city also, my favorite street photographer Alex Webb has made brilliant artworks.
After a week seeing the glory of the past and the grandiose civilisation in Istanbul with my beloved friends, Sandy and Fadli, now it was time to explore Pamukkale and Cappadocia/Goreme. In Denizli province we only visited the Cleopatra thermal bath, the beautiful Pamukkale calcium travertine/terraces, and Hierapolis building one of the sites of UNESCO world heritage center, you must visit these places when you are in Turkey.
In Cappadocia or Kapadokya in Turkish, we live in Goreme the heart of Cappadocia National Park. Goreme is a beautiful town with an unique landscape, it's mind blowing. Cappadocia cannot be separated from ceramics, carpets and hot air balloon. I was very lucky now I cou…

Lizzy + Sean's Intimate Elopement at Villa Karang Saujana Bali

It had been a while since my team and I covered the intimate elopement like this. This wedding was only attended by closest people of the bride and groom. Lizzy the beautiful bride, which was only accompanied by one bridesmaid, seemed busy with her dressers, meanwhile in the different part of the villa, the main room, Sean the groom was cheerfully chatting with his friends and family. The chit-chat and jokes they had made the big room seemed small.
The marriage vows were to be said by the sunset, where the weather was expected to be a little bit cooler and the venue which took place on the top of a beach cliff, got the nice breeze from the ocean.  Yet I could see that the groom was nervous and cold-sweated because his shirt was wet, or was it because of the weather? :) Under the blue sky, with the caresses of the wind, and the sound of rolling waves crashed onto the rocks, the vows of the two children of men were finally said.
A kiss, happy faces, applauses, the impatients-flower rai…

A Traditional Balinese Wedding | Merti + Sanjaya

Sanjaya and Merti had the traditional Balinese wedding in Nusa Penida Island, the homeland of the groom. Five days prior, the groom's family came to the bride's home in Antiga - Karangasem to propose Sanjaya's soulmate. This proposal moment was also for the engagement.
For two days my team and I covered Sanjaya and Merti' s traditional Balinese wedding ceremony in Nusa Penida. Day one, they had the traditional ceremony ritual which was called Mejaya-jaya or some people called it Mawidi-widana, led by a Peranda (Bali Hindu Priest). This ritual took almost all day with all the Balinese ornaments like janur (young coconut leaf decoration), penjor (curved bamboo decoration) and banten (offerings) that were seen in every corner of the house.  These little things make the house looked so merry!
The day after, they held the reception. The bride and groom wore the authentic Balinese traditional outfit, they looked graceful and glow with such charisma.  A new beginning had b…
